Geopolitics expert: Lithuania and Eastern Europe the Most Promising Old Continent’s Region

Traditional “No Country For Shadow” week will take place on 15th May in Vilnius and will be spread in Lithuanian main cities by the 21st May. “No Country for Shadow” is organised aiming to develop a responsible, active and conscious society as well as to invite citizens to make a change in their daily choices, which could affect the scale of shadow economy in the country.

By sharing specially prepared postcards we hope to inspire debate and thought in everyone’s head about the long-term implications that ‘Shadow’ brings upon the economy.

Association “Investors’ Forum”, which unites all the biggest and most active investors in the Lithuanian economy announced and awarded companies, organizations and individuals, who in the year of 2016 contributed most to the country’s business and investment environment improvement.


‘Investors’ Forum’ with the Government: 13 proposals to improve business climate in Lithuania Uncategorized

During an annual meeting with the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, ‘Investors’ Forum’ members presented thirteen proposals for a more competitive investment environment.

The most important proposals for the Government are:
– To establish a balanced and the most competitive labour regulation among all the Eastern and Central Europe countries.
– To improve the quality of public service.
– To take action for the return migration and talent attraction by offering motivating salaries.


Application for “Investors‘ Forum” Awards Uncategorized

Investors‘ Forum“ uniting the biggest investors in Lithuania announced a call for applications and nominations for the  annual awards where the best companies, public institutions, education and media representatives are rewarded for their contributions to improving investment climate in Lithuania. Six nominations are going to be presented: “Investor of the year”, Responsible business 2016”, “Best decision for business climate improvement”, “Public servant of the year”, “Best business journalist”, and “Teacher of Economics of the  yearApplications and nominations for this year’s awards are accepted until the 10th of March. They can be submitted here.
Winners will be announced during the official ceremony, which will take place on the 21st of April in Vilnius.


Investors’ Confidence Index for Lithuania 2017 Q1 ICIL researches

Investors’ Confidence Index for Lithuania (ICIL) value for 2017 first quarter remained unchanged since 2016 second quarter and maintained the value of 1,215.


This quarter’s index value is high. However,  compared to the first quarter of 2016, there is 0,012 point decrease. Uncertainty about political environment and ineffective taxation system were the main causes of this decline. On the other hand, the high level of Lithuania’s telecommunication and logistics infrastructure managed to maintain final index value on its height.
